The Bank of Ghana computes the interbank benchmark rate by collecting closing rates to calculate a weighted median exchange rate from all banks (spot US$/GH¢, GBP/GH¢ EURO/GH¢). These rates are published on the BoG's website. But data series do not provide specific information on lending that have maturity of less than one week (overnight). Ghana TBills rose sharply following the country's sovereign debt default in December 2022. Since 2023, they have continued to recover after agreements of debt restructuring, on an IMF program and government's fiscal reforms.
